WEEK 1: A Place to Stand

This week in the summer learning journey we are learning about our land habitats and how NZ come to be like this today. it tells us about the north island it is a story about Maui and how he bring the north is land to be land today in this world.And how he caught this with his jawbone hook his grandmother give him.

my top 3 fun facts

1. The official language is English and Maori                                                   this is Maui hook

2.30% of the NZ country is forest.

3.There are no snakes at all in this country.

    You've chosen some really interesting facts here. I particularly like the one about snakes. I used to live in Australia and there were snakes EVERYWHERE! I'm glad we don't have to worry about them here in New Zealand. Have you been to a country that has snakes? One of my favourite facts about our country is that we have the steepest street in the world! It's called Baldwin Street in Dunedin; have you been?
